Mobile car battery replacement in West Chester & Chester County, PA

Dead car in the driveway? A technician comes out anywhere in Chester County, tests the battery, swaps it if it's bad, and recycles the old one. Usually under 30 minutes from pull-up to crank.

What happens on site

  • Load test on the existing battery — confirms it's actually the problem
  • Alternator and charging-system voltage test — rules out a charging issue
  • Battery replacement with a fresh one (standard flooded or AGM, sized for the car)
  • Battery registration to the BCM on European cars that require it (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo)
  • Reset stored DTCs and clean the terminals
  • Old battery taken offsite and recycled responsibly

When it's not the battery

About 1 in 5 "battery" calls turn out to be something else — a bad alternator, a parasitic draw from a stuck relay or aftermarket dashcam, or corroded cable ends. All three get tested before any battery is sold. If the alternator is the real problem, that job gets quoted too — many alternators are replaceable in the driveway, some need a shop.

Battery types stocked

Standard flooded lead-acid in Group 24, 35, 48, 65, 78. AGM in Group 48, 49, 94R, H6, H7, H8 — these are the sizes most newer Hondas, Toyotas, GM, Ford, and European vehicles take. Anything specialty (small EFB for stop-start systems, side-post GM batteries, etc.) gets picked up before the visit.

Service area for battery replacement

Same-day in West Chester, Exton, Downingtown, Malvern, Paoli, Berwyn, Coatesville, Phoenixville, and Kennett Square. Other Chester County areas usually within 24 hours. Full service area list.

Common questions

A car won't start in the driveway. Is it the battery?
Often, but not always. A technician comes out, tests both the battery and the alternator, and identifies which one. If it's the battery, replacements are on the truck for the common Group 24, 35, 48, 65, and AGM sizes. If it's the alternator, that work gets quoted too.
How much does a mobile battery replacement cost?
For the battery itself: $150–$250 for a standard flooded battery, $230–$400 for AGM (most newer cars take AGM). Labor for the swap is included. The battery test, recycling the old battery, and a basic charging-system check are all included in the visit.
How long is the install?
Most cars: 15 to 30 minutes from when the hood opens to when the engine cranks. Some BMW, Audi, and Mercedes models need a battery registration with a scan tool — that adds about 10 minutes.
Are European cars that need battery registration handled?
Yes. After the swap, the new battery is registered to the BCM with a scan tool — without that step, the charging system thinks it's still feeding the old battery, leading to a warning light or a battery that dies in 6 months.
What happens to the old battery?
It gets recycled through the local Chester County auto parts network. Lead-acid batteries are 99% recyclable; never throw one in the trash.
